Vineyard of Agricola Forte

Agricola Forte, known as Podere Forte, approaches agriculture as a single interconnected organism in which people, soil, plants and animals reinforce one another. Organic and biodynamic methods are combined with careful observation and modern technology. The aim is healthy, vital soil and wines that express the power, elegance and distinctive origin of the Val d'Orcia.

Podere Forte was founded in 1997 by Pasquale Forte and comprises a large mixed estate near Castiglione d'Orcia. In addition to wine, the business produces olive oil, honey, grains and other agricultural products, and keeps several animal species. The vineyards lie in the Orcia zone; the producer is certified organic and Demeter and follows its own integrated 'Forte system'.
