Azul y Garanza

Azul y Garanza makes wine in the belief that healthy soils, biodiversity and minimal intervention provide the best foundation for an honest taste of Navarre. The team applies organic and regenerative farming methods and seeks balance rather than maximum yield. Work in the cellar is kept simple, with the aim of making energetic, approachable wines that reflect their arid landscape.

The vineyards are near Carcastillo, on the edge of the desert-like Bardenas Reales nature reserve. The combination of altitude, drought, wind and sharply fluctuating temperatures gives the grapes a distinctive character. Azul y Garanza uses, among other vessels, old concrete tanks from a former co-operative and works with local varieties such as Garnacha and Tempranillo, alongside white and international varieties.
