Bodega Marañones aims to translate the mountainous west of Madrid into refined wines with transparency, freshness and a strong sense of place. The vineyards are managed biodynamically to strengthen soil life and natural balance. Through meticulous manual work and restrained vinification, the estate focuses on elegant expressions of old-vine Garnacha and Albillo Real without overshadowing the landscape.

The winery works with around twenty-five hectares of scattered plots around San Martín de Valdeiglesias, where granite soils and altitude are defining factors. Marañones is part of Alma Carraovejas and has been officially Demeter certified since the 2024 vintage. The combination of old vines, separate plot vinification and cool mountain influences distinguishes the wines within DOP Vinos de Madrid.

Bodega Marañones works with high-altitude vineyards in the Sierra de Gredos, where granite soils contribute finesse, freshness and a mineral character. Serve at cellar temperature with roast meat, mushrooms, stews, pulses or mature cheese.
