Vineyard of Aphros Wine

Aphros Wine, led by Vasco Croft, approaches viticulture as a living interaction between soil, plant and environment. Using biodynamic principles, the estate makes characterful Vinho Verde wines in which freshness, aroma and local grape varieties take centre stage.

Vasco Croft founded Aphros in 2004. The project comprises three vineyards and a separate cellar for artisanal vinification without electrical equipment. The producer is based in Refoios do Lima and operates within Vinho Verde (DOP). In this workbook, biodynamic status is confirmed. The recorded scope is Demeter (product-specific; Phaunus 2023). Other products or vintages are not automatically covered.

Aphros Daphne from Aphros Wine is a dry white wine from Portugal. This 2023 vintage is made from Loureiro. The bottle contains 75cl and has an alcohol content of 12%. The flavour profile features citrus, white fruit and fresh floral nuances, with lively acidity and a clean, refined finish. It pairs well with fish, shellfish, salads or light vegetable dishes. Serve at an appropriate temperature and, for more complex wines, allow a little air if needed so that the aromas and structure can fully develop.
