Vineyard of Black Mountain Vineyard

Black Mountain Vineyard produces organic natural wines in Herefordshire, guided by a simple, self-sufficient ideal. The estate aims to develop healthy soils and resilient vines, processing its own grapes in a small, energy-efficient winery without fining, filtration or added sulphites.

The vineyard covers approximately three hectares near the Brecon Beacons. Hybrid varieties are grown alongside classic grape varieties. It is certified organic by the Soil Association and uses natural farming methods and plant-based treatments, among other practices. The off-grid winery processes small batches slowly and uses a range of fermentation vessels to minimise technical manipulation of the grapes.
