Vineyard of Château de Berlieren

Château de Berlieren aims to produce healthy, harmonious wines that clearly express Hombourg’s flint-rich terroir. Organic viticulture, living soils, biodiversity and complete control from grape to bottle form the foundation, with as little intervention as possible in both vineyard and cellar. Origin, transparency and sustainable development remain central throughout.

The estate comprises approximately 3.5 hectares of vineyard with around 11,000 vines and eight classic and resistant grape varieties. Field blending promotes genetic diversity. Pruning and harvesting are carried out by hand, and the soil is not ploughed. In the cellar, indigenous or organically permitted yeasts are used, generally with little sulphite. The château also offers accommodation, visits and events.
