De Wilde Wijngaard is a non-commercial natural vineyard near Lelystad where volunteers work together to put sustainable viticulture into practice. The vineyard uses no fertilisers, pesticides or copper sulphate and promotes healthy, biodiverse soil. Through manual work, knowledge sharing and minimal intervention, the foundation aims to make pure natural wines and demonstrate that community-based viticulture has a future.

The vineyard was established in 2016 and lies 4.5 metres below sea level on calcareous sandy clay soil. The varieties are Johanniter, Solaris, Souvignier Gris and Rondo. An average of approximately 2,500 bottles are produced each year, including still, sparkling and oak-aged wines. Volunteers, interns and WWOOFers help run the operation.
