Vineyard of Domaine du Poirier du Loup

Le Poirier du Loup is a municipally owned, community-run organic vineyard in Torgny. The project keeps the Gaume wine tradition alive, combines organic viticulture with training and voluntary work, and also aims to strengthen local tourism, culture and social cohesion. Origin, transparency and sustainable development remain central throughout.

A group of friends planted the 93-are vineyard in 1990; the municipality of Rouvroy has owned it since 1999 and the Ecoculture co-operative manages the site. Production consists of Pinot Noir sparkling rosé, a blanc de blancs from Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois, and two ratafias. Volunteers carry out the work, while visits combine the vineyard, cellar and a tasting.
