Vineyard of Ham Street Wines

Ham Street Wines is a small estate in Kent that combines biodynamic and regenerative viticulture with natural winemaking. The producer strives for living soils, healthy grapes and wines that express the character of each vintage without unnecessary correction.

The estate works with field blends that include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Bacchus and Pinot Gris. Production is small-scale, and the wines are made largely with minimal additions. Ham Street grows and vinifies its own grapes on a single site and is certified organic and biodynamic, working in a small-scale, natural style.

Bacchus from 2024 from Ham Street Wines is an orange wine with skin contact in a 75cl bottle. The style is dry. In aroma and taste, elderflower, blossom, white fruit and a stony minerality, with fresh acidity and mild grip, come to the fore. Seven days of skin contact and ten months of barrel ageing give these Bacchus extra texture and aromatic depth. The wine is made from Bacchus. The alcohol content is 10.2%. Serve with roasted vegetables, spicy dishes, charcuterie or hearty fish.
