Vineyard of Quinta da Palmirinha

Quinta da Palmirinha is Fernando Paiva's small-scale Vinho Verde estate. Through organic and biodynamic farming, he aims to build vital vineyards and make pure, terroir-driven wines from local grapes, with as little intervention as possible in the cellar.

The three-hectare estate has been organically certified since 2004 and Demeter-certified since 2007; Fernando Paiva also uses dried chestnut blossom as an antioxidant. The producer is based in Borba de Godim, Felgueiras and operates within Vinho Verde (DOP). In this workbook, organic and biodynamic status are confirmed. The recorded scope is EU Organic (PT-BIO-02) and Demeter (since 2007). Other products or vintages are not automatically covered.

Azal from Quinta da Palmirinha is a dry white wine from Portugal. This 2024 vintage is made from Azal. The bottle contains 75cl and has an alcohol content of 11.5%. The flavour profile features citrus, white fruit and fresh floral nuances, with lively acidity and a clean, refined finish. It pairs well with fish, shellfish, salads or light vegetable dishes. Serve at an appropriate temperature and, for more complex wines, allow a little air if needed so that the aromas and structure can fully develop.
