Vineyard of Wijndomein Oude Waalstroom

Wijndomein Oude Waalstroom produces organic natural wines by working with natural processes as much as possible. The soil is left undisturbed, herbs and flowers are given space, and homemade compost nourishes soil life. Healthy grapes are harvested by hand and ferment with their own yeasts and sugars. Minimal intervention, no additives and care for biodiversity are at the heart of its artisanal approach.

The estate is located in Hurwenen and is run by Huib Overmars and Lotte Rippen. Planted varieties include Johanniter, Solaris, Rondo, Regent, Cabernet Cantor and Cabernet Cortis. The range comprises white, rosé, red and orange natural wines. The red wine Tijdreis matures using the solera system and contains vintages dating back to 2013.
