Wijngaard By Ypma arose from Hans Ypma’s wish to embark on a new agricultural adventure after his career as a dairy farmer. Together with family and volunteers, he produces organic wine in De Rips with respect for nature and the environment. Manual work, outdoor life and hospitality are central. The vineyard aims to let visitors share in the pleasure of viticulture and the development of a young Brabant wine tradition.

Established in 2018 with half a hectare and expanded to approximately 2 hectares a year later. The planted varieties are Johanniter, Muscaris, Souvignier Gris and Sauvignac. The range includes Jungske, Peeldorpje, Durske, Bruisend Brut and the orange wine 100 Koeien. Visitors can also enjoy a picnic or tasting, or adopt a vine.

100 Koeien Oranjewijn by Wijngaard By Ypma is an off-dry orange wine, from the 2024 vintage, made from the grape varieties listed in the product information: Souvignier Gris. Skin contact during fermentation gives this style more colour, texture and spice than a conventional white wine, with a distinctly gastronomic character. The bottle size is 75cl and the stated alcohol content is 12.5%. Serve lightly chilled with roasted vegetables, spicy vegetarian dishes, poultry, cheeses or Asian-inspired flavours.
