Wijnhoeve de Colonjes combines organic viticulture with social engagement. On the south-facing slopes of Groesbeek, nature is treated as the teacher: flowers, herbs and insects support a healthy vineyard ecosystem. Wines reflecting the rich loess soil are made in the estate’s own cellar. At the same time, Colonjes works with care and employment organisations to provide meaningful work, guided by the motto “a heart for wine and a heart for people”.
Established in 2001, Colonjes is the largest organic vineyard in the Netherlands, covering approximately 13 hectares. It grows thirteen grape varieties, including Regent, Pinotin, Cabernet Cortis, Cabernet Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling. The estate produces white, red, rosé and sparkling wines. The Netherlands Wine Centre and its terrace are an important meeting place in the wine village of Groesbeek.
